When You Need a Little Lubricant on Your
Rod Ferule
By A.
Sayward Lamb
Before you assemble your fly rod, rub the male
ferrule of the tip section in the crevice next to your nose, between
your lips and your eyes. The natural oils from this area of your face
will help lubricate the ferrule and make it easier to take apart when
you are ready to take your rod apart.
